Here are some of the ways the Fifty Fund
can help organisations across Nottinghamshire.

Nottingham Playhouse
The Fifty Fund provided a Grant to the Nottingham Playhouse to assist young individuals in need in Nottinghamshire, by funding a long-term creative course for young people to develop their skills and support their wellbeing.
“We are very grateful for the generosity of the Fifty Fund. The support this past year for Little People, Big Adventures has helped Nottingham Playhouse to engage with over 30 young people in long-term, transformative work. Without this free provision we know that some of the young people we have worked with would not have been able to access a creative course in their area, leaving them poorer in skills and friendships.”
Fareshare Midlands
Fareshare Midlands utilised a Grant from the Fifty Fund in their fantastic efforts to fight hunger in Nottinghamshire and ensure that families are able to access basic food and nutrition.
“In Nottingham, your funding has helped us to maintain our service to those most in need across the county. This has specifically supported our core costs, to keep sourcing, sorting and redistributing surplus food from within the supply chain.”

The Outward Bound Trust
The Fifty Fund supported the Outward Bound Trust with a Grant to provide courses to children from underserved communities to access opportunities to develop their confidence and relationships. The courses and trips include activities in nature away from technology, giving many children their first experience of a trip away from home.
“Your support is vital in ensuring we can provide charitable funding to young people from all backgrounds, many with barriers to access opportunities such as these.”
The Brain Tumour Charity
The Fifty Fund granted funding to alleviate the pain and suffering of brain tumour patients in Nottinghamshire by funding the Brain Tumour Charity in their efforts to support those effected by providing an accessible and high-quality support service.
“We were very grateful to receive your generous donation towards our information and Support Services for people in Nottinghamshire. Your donation helped us provide free of charge support for people affected by a brain tumour so that they do not face this devastating diagnosis alone”

Nottinghamshire Hospice
The Fifty Fund provided a Grant to the Nottinghamshire Hospice Charity in order to enable their free service to support those in distress in the County. The funding supported the registered nurses to provide free palliative and end of life care, and bereavement support, to those facing terminal illness.
“Your generous donation will help patients remain at home at the end of their life, where they want to be.”
Always here to help
Sometimes a small bit of help can make a big difference. If you know someone who’s struggling, let us know.
The Fifty Fund can help individual applicants in many ways,
here are a few examples.

Help to buy essential food items
An individual in Nottingham was facing poverty and made an application to the Fifty Fund for assistance in order to purchase essential food items. The Fifty Fund supported the individual with regular e-vouchers for their local shop.
Help to buy white goods
An individual facing homelessness was able to secure a flat through the council, but they had no money to furnish their home. The Fifty Fund were able to purchase white goods (a fridge and washing machine) and paint so they can begin to make themselves feel comfortable at home.

Help to buy a new carpet
Following a referral from a local Charity, we became aware of a family who recently moved into their new flat. The family applied to the Fifty Fund for assistance with purchasing white goods. When the Grant administrator visited the family, we identified that they also needed new carpets. The Fifty Fund was able to fund their white goods and carpets.
The support we offer is quiet but meaningful,
and for many, it arrives just when it’s needed most.
